Metal detectors of the METRON 05 U type are used for the examination of residual wood in vibrating troughs with a metal-free zone. The inclined side walls improve the detection height compared to conventional plate detectors. Nevertheless, unlike a tunnel detector, high-impact wooden parts cause no damage to the device. They are ideally suited for product or bulk heights of up to 400 mm.
